Rene Marie Russo was an American actress, director, and supermodel. In addition to her graceful beauty, her continued success in the competitive film industry can be attributed to her talents as an actor. She began modeling in the 1970s. And later she joined Ultimate Fighting Championships. Since joining the UFC She has been a household name thanks to her accomplishments both inside and outside of the octagon. Namajunas's family are Lithuanian as was her birthplace there on the 29th June, 1992. Rose was a kickboxer and basketball player as a child. When she was 18 years old, she began her professional career with Invicta Fighting Championships where she won two fights via submission. Dana White, who was paying close attention to her at the moment, signed her in the UFC strawweight division to fight in December 2014; she was just turning 22. Throughout Rose's professional career, she's been through periods of highs and lows but each time coming out on top. Rose took on Carla Esparza on April 15, 2015, for the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose defeated Esparza by an technical knockout that took less than 3 minute of the Round One. Rose not only got the title, but also was named Fighter Of The Night. Rose was also able to make MMA history with this match because she became the first woman to compete in a title fight at any organization of note. Following this victory Namajunas continued to win more successful fights including defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice which earned her Performance Of The Night honors from UFC following these victories .
